Review by Steph on Oct 11, 19 review stating One party and kaput Good: This costume was super cute and got lots of compliments! Not so good: However, I had to do significant alterations to it. Firstly, the bust was so tight it was ridiculous. My boobs were squished so tight and so flat that it made a small tear in the side seam of netting. I decided I would have to remove it so I tried gently pulling it and it came right off. It wouldn't stay shut (revealed entire front of bra and was baggy in waist) without the netting. so I replaced it with a panel of gold spandex fabric that matched the belt. Speaking of the belt, it kept coming undone when I moved so I had to remove the velcro with a seam ripper and sew on another panel of gold spandex fabric. It was more comfortable and easy to wear this way too. Also after I took the netting out and before I put the gold panel in when I was trying to figure out how to make the costume work I bent over and seam at the base of the zipper ripped leaving a hole I had to repair. The gloves were very badly made and freaky looking. They weren't the same shape or even human hand shaped. The fingers were waaaay too long and floopy and again not the same size on both hands. I had to completely re-sew both of the hands. I did not re-sew the arms however, and by the end of the night there were holes down both of my arms. But the biggest disappointment about this costume is how much color rubbed off! It rubbed off the butt, the gloves, the sleeves, the front- after a few hours at a party the coloring is all uneven. The color also rubbed off the trident which is black plastic spay painted gold. I honestly don't know if I would recommend this costume. I really wanted to be Aquaman and it looked so good, so I made it work. But if I had ordered it this year, it would have gone back because I think there are probably better options in 2019. My experience did make me wary of buying another Starline costume, however.
